What Causes Flaky Stool And Diarrhea After Taking Probiotics?

Hello. I m in the middle of getting over diarrhea that was caused by an antibiotic. I vomit before seeing my doctor the next day, and a fever started and abdominal cramps. He told me I irritated my stomach. He gave me a diet to follow for a few days, and started eating normal again. The fever has went away after that day. He also recommended me taking probiotics, which I started taking since Saturday. My stool has been ok since taking it, and the abdominal cramps have been easing. but another episode of diarrhea happened today. Then it was normal looking again but flaky, and couldn t stay together. Will my stool be back to normal soon and the cramps go away?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of getting over diarrhea that was caused by antibiotic, there is vomiting, fever and abdominal cramps, was given diet plan which helped. Then was given a probiotic, but another episode of diarrhea occurred in spite of abatement of symptoms. Then again normal but flaky. Wants to know will the stool be back to normal and whether the cramps would go away.
I would advise you the following:
First of all, get the stool tested again.
If there is still evidence of infection get the antibiotic cover.
Continue the probiotic.
Add on yogurt/curds, banana, activated charcoal and you would be absolutely fine.
Also get the blood and urine and ultrasonography tests done.
