Hi, My 14 years old son started to have high fever, 40 degrees, two nights ago with sore throat and a bit of vomiting, and then he has itchy hands and feet that comes and goes but last night all his finger tips were swollen and very hard. When the itch comes, the hand and/or feet and around the ankle goes red, probably from scratching but when they don t itch , they are normal color skin and no rush. He still had some temperature through last night but the fever has stopped now and doctor gave him antibiotics from yesterday afternoon. What worries me more is that his finger tips and toe s tips goes numb and it becomes hard for him to pick up a pen or type on the keyboard. The numbness comes and goes too. I am worried about this itching and numbness of hands and feet. Could you please tell me what it is?
