Hi,

You have got a classical history of mild fever for the last 4 days that rises in the afternoon, normal in the morning, stomach pain and dry cough, painful breathing, Doctor says throat infection, wants to know whether typhoid.
My thoughts:
- Fever that rises and settles with pain is more classical for Malaria.
- Surely you need to undergo the following:
Consult your Doctor again.
- Request for detailed clinical evaluation.
- Detailed investigations of blood:
Test for Malaria antigen and by slide method.
Tests of r typhoid
Blood and urine culture and sensitivity.
Any other tests as would be advised.
- Needs a proper course of an appropriate antibiotic.
- Symptomatic and supportive treatment.
All these will give an appropriate diagnosis and thus allow specific treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
