Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of fever, cold, ear infection and cough which can occur due to bacterial as well as viral infection. When upper respiratory tract infection like sore throat left untreated or due to low immunity sometimes infection get transfer to ear through Eustachian tube, which cause further complications. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist if not getting relief with present medicine for proper diagnosis like swab test and viral culture test . Doctor may order stronger antibiotics , antiviral ( acyclovir ) along with decongestant and expectorant. For now do betadine and warm saline gargles and apply dry hot compresses to external ear.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
