General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
It seems that kid might be having acute follicular tonsillitis giving this problem.
Due to acute infection enlarged tender lymph node in neck or sub-mandibular region are there.
He might require one course of antibiotic and some decongestant medicine.
Consult pediatrician and get examined.
Ok and take care.
