Suggest Treatment For Swollen Lymph Node Below The Ear Causing Pain While Swallowing

I am 36 yr old Male. I have swollen tonsils/lymph node in my throat. The right side is bigger causing severe pain while swallowing. I also have fever. Symptoms started 4 days ago with severity of pain and fever highest on the second day. I am only taking Ibuprofen (200mg) every 6hrs. Although the fever and swelling have gone down the swelling still exists and causes discomfort while swallowing. Is this a bacterial or viral infection?
