Hello dear Greetings Regarding your husband symptoms of fever intestinal and kidney ache I strongly believe that these are few among many other the side effects of sulphamethoxazole trimethoprin drug usage In view of this please let him see his physician for further clinical assessment and re-evaluation of his drug If the sinus infection has stopped yes it will be a good idea to stop intake in order to limit adverse effects I hope this helps Regards
