Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Fatigue After A Suffering From Rhabdomyolysis?
I was in the hospital for a week with rhabdomyolysis and my CK was at 6400. I was finally released with a CK of 125. Thankfully none of my organs especially my kidneys were harmed. However it s been about two weeks and I still feel weak and fatigued. How long will it typically take for someone to fully recover from this issue.
The teared muscle require at least 3-4 week for complete repair especially when rhabdomyolysis is severe. You need to maintain hydration with lots of water. You need to avoid strenous activities for few days.
Your kidney has not been damaged, so no need to worry. Mostly within next one or two week your muscle pain will reduced to significant level. If not then revert to me for more discussion.
Additionally, it's important to treat underlying diabetes or thyroid like problem if present.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
