I have a 9 year old son who has type 1 diabetes who just recently as of november 2013 started having facial spasms were his lip twitches while he sleeps an kind of pulls to the side when he is awake he has about 6 or seven of these per day and it really gets bad when he is excited what can I do
hai in diabetes usually cranial nerves involved r 3rd, 4th & 6th - all these r concerned nerves r involved with movements of eyes. it also involves 7 th cranial nerves but in a recently diagnosed Type 1 diabetes this is a rare incidence. twitching of muscles can have a variety of causes get his serum electrolytes done since in uncontrolled diabetes these get altered and can lead to twitching take care
