Over the past two years, when focusing intensely on small newsprint or other very tiny points (such as threading a needle, or taking notes in very small handwriting), my eyes will occasionally and involuntarily jerk very rapidly back and forth away from the pint of focus for only a second or two before returning to the original point of focus. Sometimes a similar jerkiness occurs when reading as newspare, for example, where instead of making a gentle glide across the text from left to right, my focus will make jerky leaps ahead several words and bounce along the text requiring a conscious effort to go back and reread the text . I am - 56 yrear old male. I this the sign of sometimg serious?
