What Causes Eye Redness With Aching?

Hi. I m female, age 64, 5 4 and 140 lb. No history of HBP, heart, or arterial disease. I take daily meds for depression (Citalopram HBR 60 mg) and hypothyroidism (Levothyroxine 125 mg). No known eye problems except near-sightedness (I wear glasses, no contacts). Today I blew my nose maybe a little harder than usual and shortly thereafter a family member told me my right eye was very red. I checked and the eye has what appears to be blood all around its rim. 4 Hours have passed. The eye looks the same. It s a little teary but the tears are clear in color. I think there is some mild achiness around the eye, which just developed within the past hour or so (but I am prone to anxiety and may just be worried about it!). I am hoping it s just a minor rupture of a blood vessel or something but of course I imagine the worst, too, like a small stroke. Any ideas or advice? Thank you so much.
