General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello there

Symptoms which you r telling do not correspond with flu and cold actually. As far as platelet count is concerned, yes it is low but there is a long list for the causes. Many a times it is idiopathic (reason not known) and reaolves on its own . Tiredness & excessive salivation do not directly correspond to this but may be as general symptoms. Chest pain is some thing which needs to be assesed by prelimnary examination and investigations (ecg .chest X ray.lipid profile.etc).I will suggest that you should see a general physican regarding chest and platelet count.
