What Causes Extreme Sleepiness, Scratchy Feeling In Throat And Tingly Tongue?
hello: I have been feeling unusually sleepy some days, meaning, i can sleep a good part of the day and still sleep at night. I feel like my tongue is tingly (coated) at times, and a bit of a sensation in the throat, like a scratchy feeling. I know i am very allergic to tree pollen and the pollen count has been very high for weeks. I also take 75MCG of Levothyroxine daily for hypothyroidism. I am hoping the symptoms are due to pollen and not the thryroid. Any thoughts? YYYY@YYYY

* The symptoms without exposure to pollen with dry tingly tongue and scratchy throat indicate a possible alteration in thyroid hormone levels.
In my clinic, I do recommend a recent thyroid function test for the level of current thyroid hormones and adjust the dose of levothyroxine accordingly to combat the issue faster way.
