What Causes Excessive Weight Gain While On Micronor?

I m on micronor mini pill for about 4 months. I m healthy and rarely get sick. I eat fairly well (I think), run about 7km 3 times a week and still gaining weight, so am wondering if it s the pill or just being middle aged (I m 42). If it s the pill will I continue to put on weight till I stop taking it?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
As per your history is concerned now you are micronor pill which is a hormone pill ,i may suggest you not to go for any symptomatic treatments and go to the root cause of diseases.First stop all medications and see what is your sympton and sign.If it is your weight gain then you have to think what is the cause of it ,first do an ultrasound exam to ruled out any pathology on your ovary and uterus,Do a kidney function test,Do (T3,T4,TSH)to ruled out thyroid and pituitary glands,Do a Full blood count with differential, etc as per root cause take medications and your problem will be solved .(Thanks)
