What Causes Excessive Vaginal Discharge And Cramping During Pregnancy?

Hello I m currently 35 weeks pregnant. Since yesterday I ve been having very watery discharge. Everytime I go pee I can see my undies wet im not dripping but can definetly see a wet patch.I have felt very wet the whole day and mild cramping. The cramping is coming about every 15 minutes but they arent very painful. Could this be early labor. I dont want to go to the ER for nothing. Or is it possible its just an increased in discharge

Hi,
I can understand your concern.
To have watery discharge at 35 weeks pregnancy with cramping does need attention.
- Normally vaginal discharge increases in 9th month of pregnancy( But it should be without constant low back pain/ itching/burning in urine) baby desends down gradually to get engaged in pelvis. this causes cramping pain off & on.
- But one must be cautious to check that it is not due to ruptured bag of .
water.
* To exclude , you have to observe for increase in watery discharge with coughing.
* keeping a keen observation to fetal movements,is important.
* To maintain perineal hygiene is a must.
* In case cramping is more strong & frequent/ any other sign described above- consulting a gynec is a must.
Thanks
