hello dr! iam 24 years old and could possibly have endometrium polyps I m due for a biopsy test on april 23rd I was just wondering could polyps be one of the cause of my unexplained weight gain? if so, what actions do i need to do to get back into my normal weight.
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Polyps in uterus are mainly due to endometrial hyperplasia which is caused by overactivity of estrogen hormone. Weight gain can be due to estrogen hormone overactivity. I would suggest you to get its biopsy done to confirm the diagnosis and get further management accordingly. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health. Dr Deepti Verma
