Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I tried doing a clincal study and was settled in to stay for a few days. A couple hours in I was asked to leave because my billirubens where to high. What can cause this? This was on July 24th my blood was tested and I was removed. I would like to state that one week prior on the 13th of july I was given a blood test due to screening and my intial test came back solid. Was it possibly due to me not stopping exercise on the given cut off date? I was supposed to stop 8 days prior to the 24th. I ended up stopping 2 days before instead.
You should do a test to see if bilirubin is direct of conjugated. There are several reasons for elevated bilirubin levels such hepatitis, cirrhosis, gallbladder stones, pancreatic cancer, hemolytic anemia, etc. They are divided in extrahepatatic or intrahepatic. Also test hepatic enzymes.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
