What Causes Elevated TSH Levels?

Hi Doctor, I am 27 year old girl & unmarried, I do have thyroid problem since 2010 & I am taking 50mg tablet from 2010 , Sep 2014 I checked i checked my test & i found my TSH increase from 4.7 to 6.7 in Sep14 , Now i am taking 75 MG tablet, also day by day i am gaining my weight , i also worried about my future as i am unmarried . My question is that is any kind of problem will come after my marriage or during pregnancy ?? kindly advice for same, even i also start workout . Any medicine is available which can finish my thyroid problem ?

Dear friend, greetings from HCM... I understand your concern ... You need to recheck fT3, fT4 and TSH level s after a month ... Need to adjust the dose according to the report ... If you are taking tablets and your thyroid hormone levels are in range no need to worry at all you will have an uneventful smooth pregnancy and delivery .. Even your child will be normal .. If needed you might have yo take more dose during pregnancy
.... Take more of nuts , use iodized salt, sea food s like fish, prons etc.. Avoid cabbage, cauliflower etc.. Pls contact us again with the report .. See that when you any any sort of illness do not get the test done ... Thanks and take care
