General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello Dear. Some of the conditions that result in increased GGT include:

1. overuse of alcohol
2. chronic viral hepatitis
3. lack of blood flow to the liver
4. liver tumor
5. cirrhosis, or scarred liver
6. overuse of certain drugs or other toxins
7. heart failure
8. diabetes
9. pancreatitis
10. fatty liver disease

In order to bring down GGT levels you need to avoid high fatty food and oily food. Vegetarian diet is preferable. Eat more green leafy vegetables and citrous fruits. Drink lots of water.

with regards- Dr Sanjay kini
