What Causes Ear Pain And Ear Blockage After Wax Removal?
Good day Doctor. My name is Solomon. I'm having pain in my ear for almost a month. I have been using antibotic ear drop and pain killer but with just little effect. If I clean the ear, brown thick ear wax with white thick substance is always been removed and the ear blocks. What can be the problem?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your complain it seems that you have infection in ear leading to discharge of pus and ear wax.. I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngoogist and get evaluated and he can do a thorough clinical evaluation along with Otoscopic examination if required.. In case if infection is ruled out he can advise you to take oral antibiotics and anti-inflammatory painkillers, decongestants and antibiotic ear drops like Gentamycin ear drops.. In case if there is excessive accumulation of infectious fluid and wax in ear proper removal of wax and drainage of pus can be done for faster relief.. Along with it avoid unnecessary picking of ear with ear buds.. Avoid excessive exposure of ear to water like in swimming..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
