General Surgeon 's  Response
HI.
The feeling of the clogged ears with numbness are definitely suggestive of an infection in the middle ear called otitis media and this is recurrent indicating that you have a problem in the sinuses or nasopharynx causing dysfunctional Eustachan tube.
All you want as a proper clinical evaluation of ENT area by an ENT Surgeon, CT scan of the sinuses and mastoids to know the extent of the basic root cause for getting a correct diagnosis and plan a proper treatment.
You may need a ventilation tube to be put into the ear drum - a gromet insertion.
