What Causes Dry And Itchy Skin Around The Vagina Which Bleeds?

hi i am 16 and i have like a snake looking skin on my vagina which itches and can bleed when i itch it to much, also sometimes can be very flaky, it first came when i went to my gp about geting rid of ingrowing hairs which she told me to put purfume on it then this appeared. what could this be? really need you're help.

Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

I could make out that this is due to extreme dryness in that area, giving the appearance of a Snake's skin/ Fish scales and lalso causing it to itch

I would advice that you stop putting perfume in that area as perfume contains alcohol, which might be causing more dryness in that area.

I would rather suggest that you apply a good moisturizer, twice daily. A vitamin E and Aloevera based moisturizer would be adequate.

You can take an OTC antihistamine e.g Cetrizine 10mg once daily for symptomatic relief from itching.
