What Causes Dropping BP Causing Dizziness?

my dad has two blocked arteries and is on medication. Recently his blood pressure dropped and he collapsed for a few minutes. He has been in hospital now for 3 weeks but the doctors are undecided as to whether they will do an angioplasty or a pace maker. They want to know why his blood pressure keeps dropping causing dizzy spells. Do you know what this might be?

Hi,welcome to HCM.
Blockade of coronary vasculature can lead to conduction disturbances in the heart rhythm leading to what is called Heart Block.Complete or third degree heart block can lead to sudden episodes of reduced blood supply to brain leading to spells of reduced heart rate and blood pressure with occasional dizziness or loss of consciousness. This can be diagnosed by 24HR holter EKG.Institution of cardiac pacemaker with or without Angioplasty can help to offer cure.Consult your cardiologist for further queries.
Thank you
