What Causes Dizzy Spells Along With Migraine Headaches During Third Trimester Of Pregnancy?
I am almost 31 weeks pregnant. Tonight I ve been dealing with a terrible migraine that started out of nowhere late this afternoon. I ve tried taking Tylenol and it hasn t touched it, been drinking water, lying on my left side in a dark room. Nothing has helped. Now to add to that I m dizzy and lightheaded and almost fell trying to make it to the bathroom. Dizziness doesn t go away while lying down. Is there anything else I can try for this? Should I be worried? Do I need to go to the dr for this?

As per your query you have dizzy spells along with migraine headaches during third trimester of pregnancy . It's not uncommon to feel lightheaded or dizzy occasionally. In pregnancy cardiovascular system undergoes dramatic changes , heart rate goes up, heart pumps more blood per minute, and the amount of blood in your body increases by 30 to 50 percent which cause dizziness . Alteration in blood circulation also cause headache or migraine . I would suggest ou to to consult gynecologist for headache , because usually ibuprofen or aspirin are recommended for headache in pregnancy , if headache is not getting better with these medicine then consult doctor . I would suggest you to stand up very slowly , lie on your side instead of flat on your back and stay hydrated to correct dizziness .
