Hi,
Noted your history of severe flu followed by
dizziness, vomiting,
neck pain and numbness hands on sleeping and so on.
As per the history your have provided, the causes of dizziness can be as follows:
Severe
flu viruses can attack the semicircular canals that control the balance and thus cause dizziness.
Cervical spondilitis too can cause dizziness due to blood supply through vertebral arteries getting reduced. This also can cause the numbness of the hands and fingers due to compression of the nerves.
Hence I would advise you the following :
Continue the medications like
Cinnarizine or whichever given by your Doctor.
Take strict bed rest as this allows the inflammation to settled.
Symptomatic treatment as per the symptoms.
If these do not help then one needs to have a Specialist opinion as per the suspected cause and go for investigations like MRI of the
cervical spine, color doppler of the neck, MRI of brain and mastoids.
This will give additional information and help to know the exact cause and thus get treated specifically.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant,
