What Causes Dizziness, Fatigue And Chest Pain While On Metoprolol?
I have high diastolic but no known cause for it dr has done stress test wkg nuclear imaging ct scan and can find no issue that causes it. I am on metoprolol for it but that just makes things worse as i feel tired dizzy nauseous all the time. My heart pounds in my chest and sometimes i get chest pain and feel short of breath.
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Metoprolol is a beta-blocker that may be is used to treat angina (chest pain), hypertension, treat or prevent heart attack. It is a very good drug. However, it may have side effects like dizziness, fatigue and chest pain. While on this drug, some people may feel as though symptoms are not changing. However, i will advise you see your Cardiologist to consider a different group of anti-hypertensive that may serve the same purpose as metoprolol like a calcium channel blocker like nifidipine or amlodipine. I feel you are suffering from the side effects of metoprolol and may have similar symptoms if you try another beta-blocker.Just discuss this with your Cardiologist Hope this will help Wish you good health
