What Causes Dizziness And Tremors In The Head After Discontinuing Sertraline?

I ve been taking sertraline for quite some time. I stopped taking a week or so ago, my doctor changed practices & I ran out. My fault, seeing doctor on the 29th. Anyway, I am experiencing slight dizziness or to describe a wobble in my head. Feels odd and want to know if this may be a result in discontinuing the medication. I didn t stop exactly cold but almost. thank you.

Hello!

My name is Dr. Aida and I am glad to attend you on Healthcaremagic!

I agree with you that your symptoms could be related to sertraline withdrawal symptoms.
You should know that these drugs should not be stopped cold turkey, because they may lead to rebound anxiety and headache.
For this reason, I would recommend a gradual reduce in the dose until stopping.
Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Best regards!
