What Causes Difficulty In Swallowing Food And Water?

2 years ago I suddenly couldn t swallow food or water very well and still till this day I cant. They have check my throat and said it looks fine. Had a few thyroid checks and they came back positive and negative they thought cuz I was pregnant during 3 of the test that s why but still no one know why I can t swallow. I have choked and had food get stuck or just can t eat at all...I don t know what s wrong.

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Difficulty in swallowing is called 'dysphagia'.
Thyroid problems would cause difficulty in breathing and not in swallowing.
The problem must be somewhere in esophagus, which needs to be evaluated.
You need to get an upper GI endoscopy done and consult Gastroenterologist for appropriate management.
