What Causes Difficulty In Bowel Movements?

Hi, my name is Jean Joubert. I am 21 years old, 173cm in height and weigh about 80kg. I have two questions, one about stomach problems and the other about weight los. I have had stomach pain and bloating for almost 3 years now. I've tried everything over the counter but nothing worked. I decided to go to a gastroenterologist about 3 months ago and he found an ulcer in my stomach. He said the biggest problem is stress and he prescribed Topzole and Librax. I also used to take Altosec for 2 years because of very bad heartburn. The Topzole and Librax does help a bit, but when I write exams and have extra stress, my stomach still gets bloated alot. I also don't have regular bowel movements. I've tried Movicol, but the problem is not constipation. I struggle to get a bowel movement, but when I do it is not too hard or soft. I want to get a second opinion because I am not happy. The other problem that I have is that I am trying to loose weight, but some weeks I actually gain weight. I drink alot of water and eat very little meals 6 times a day. Could you perhaps give me some advice?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
The problem of gastric ulcer is definitely related to the stress that you are prone to hence change of lifestyle is a must.
And you have to continue the medications like a PPI, Domperidone, antacid on empty stomach, Librax and So on as advised by your Gastroenterologist.
Have review of upper GI Endoscopy regularly to see for the progress.
As for the bloating on stress; this is due to aerophagia one gets on stress and anxiety.
Loosing weight needs more exercises as in your case because you are already on dieting. Buy a cycle, go for jogging or fast walking at least as this will help you reduce weight as well as stress.
Stop all the foods and beverages that instigate or enhance the problems to get a proper result.
avoid all the factors that are increasing your stress and anxiety.
