What Causes Diarrhea In The Mornings?

Hi, I have daily loose bowel movements in the morning but symptoms improve after about 3 hours. I take Levothyroxine 100mcg and Telmisartan 80mg each morning. Do you think this is the side effect of the medications or something that I should be concerned about. I am a 65 year old healthy active woman. Thank you!

Hello dear. Diarrhea and stomach cramps are side effect of levothyroxine. Also telmisartan can rarely give diarrhea. You can use purified thyroxine instead of levothyroxine which is more tolerable and gives less diarrhea. Best regards.
