What Causes Diarrhea And Pain In The Vagina?

Yes, I had diarrhea yesterday evening and earlier today. My bowels ran so much that my vagina started to hurt and when I went to wipe light blood was on the tissue. Can constant diarrhea cause any vessels to bleed from the vagina? I am way passed menopause.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

No, severe diarrhea is not usually associated with vaginal bleeding but it is a rare possibility, if the diarrhea is stressing out the body but only in women before menopause. If you are sure the bleeding is coming from the vagina tract and not urinary tract, then you would need to be assessed.
Blood from the urinary tract would be seen on urination, there would be no blood on a liner or pad.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
