What Causes Delayed Periods With Spotting?

Haven t had period in two months. Had cramps on one side of lower abdomen for a few weeks. Yesterday I woke up with what I thought was my period because there was very little red blood. As the day went on no more came out and a few times when I wiped there was brown discharge and now there is nothing. I am sexually active with my husband and use no protection.

OBGYN 's  Response
Hi. After reading your query and having fully understood your problem, I am of the opinion that
1) You might have a pregnancy. To confirm, get a home pregnancy test kit and just check the result.
2) If it is negative, it might just be some hormonal imbalance and you might get a normal period.
3) If it is positive, I strongly suggest you get an ultrasound done to confirm the site and viability of pregnancy.

Hope I was able to help you in some way. Feel free to ask any query as regards to this answer.
Regards,
DR. SHIKHA SHAH
