What Causes Delayed Periods While On Birth Control Pills?
Hi, I've been on birth control for quite some time for both contraceptive purposes and to not have a period every month. Two months ago I switched to a lower does prescription and started having my period every month again. But now I'm suppose to have my period (It's been three days since I've taken the pill) but there is no sign of it occurring. Possibility of pregnency?

Hi, I understand your concern. There are various types of contraceptives few of them are 28 pills pack, while others are 20/21 pills packs. k * If you are on 28 days pill pack You may/ may not get period during the last 7 pills of different colour. In case you don't get period during this period & you have taken the previous pills regularly at the same time of day-- you should start taking another pack. If no periods for two consecutive months, should visit your doctor. If on such a pack,& no period for three days, you can start with new pack & consult your doctor after 15 days /next month if no periods till then * with 21 pills pack with regular intake of pill without a break , you are supposed to wait for periods after the last pill for 1 week. BUT if you have skipped few pills in the course, you shold see your doctor for advise. Thanks.
