What Causes Delayed Periods After Suffering From UTI?
I was supposed to start my period on the 2nd if December but it has yet to come. I was dealing with a UTI at the same time too. But usually when I get one at the same time nothing is affected?? I ve taken 2 pregnancy tests? Should I take another I m on day 44 of my cycle now. I have never been this late. I also have been off of BC since May.
There are numerous causes for a delay in period other than pregnancy and I shall go ahead and list some of the most common ones for you:
+Infections: As mentioned by you, and they do not even have to be related to the reproductive system +Stress +Medications: Of any kind +Getting on birth control or getting off them +Sexual intercourse itself (although rarely) +Conditions (e.g. polycystic ovaries) and a few others
As based on the information provided, you already have 2-3 of the causes (i.e. infection, getting off BC and the stress of not having your period). Please seek medical attention for your infection (i.e. antibiotic coverage).
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
