What Causes Delayed Onset Of Labor During Pregnancy?
i am in my 40 going to 41 weeks of my pregnancy now. it'smy first pregnancy that's why we're so excited about my coming delivery... but, i already passed my due date. it's 6 days over now. i had contractions and vaginal spotting but my doctor said thta it's normal and only pre-eminent signs of labor. i also do a lotof walking and light household chores to help encourage true labor. but sometimes i'm thinking why can't labor occur as possibly as like now? do you think i'm having any other problems? i started toget really stressed...
Welcome to healthcaremagic, Normal full term deliveries take place between 37 to 42 weeks. As you are in the 40th week of your pregnancy, it is a normal thing to happen. You labour pains may start in a week or two and you may deliver. In case you do not deliver by 42 weeks your doctor might induce labour pains and you will deliver. You are absolutely normal now and have nothing to worry about. Hope that answers your question. Regards, Dr.Ismail (if the answer has helped you, please indicate this)
