What Causes Delay In Periods, headaches, mood Swings And Frequent Urination?

I am almost hesitant to even ask. I am 39, almost 40, years old. I am married with three children. I have never had difficulties conceiving, but have had a miscarriage. My husband has had ED, with no ejaculation, but is receiving some relief from getting his diabetes under better control. I have been off Mirena IUD for almost a year and have normal periods. I am now SEVERAL days late, mild cramping with no period start. I have begun frequent urination with not necessarily a full bladder, with no burning or stinging. Frequent pressure headaches and mood swings. Some mild nausea, once that woke me from sleep with my sphincter feeling as if it were opening and closing. I forced myself to overcome it. Two tests one midday neg, one early morning with a shadowy line. I worry that if I am, about complications due to my age, the other is if I am not, I am NOT ready for menopause.

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. In the current scenario, the best way to clarify is to get an estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres since these are very specific and sensitive. This should be followed up with a sonogram of the pelvis, preferably in the trans-vaginal route to know the status of the pelvic organs. Thus pregnancy can be conclusively confirmed/excluded. If positive and if you wish to retain the pregnancy, there is no need to worry. Proper precautions help prevent any unwanted risks. If negative, transient hormone imbalances could be suspected and treated accordingly. It is not menopause. Hope this helps.
