Hii.I am 28 year old female trying to start a family. I was diagnosed with thyroid with TSH greater than 100 last month. My HB level was 7.5 . The doctor prescribed me thyronorm of 100mg. After 15 days , I again tested for TSH. It was 27. Should I decrease the dose ? And this month I didn t get my period. Before starting the medicine it was regular. So is it the medicine which affected my periods ?
Hello. Thank you for your question. Don't stop or alter the dose of thyronorm by yourself. Your TSH levels are coming down due to treatment so continue same. Your menstrual irregularity is not because of thyronorm. Try to get pregnant when TSH reaches 2.5 as it can affect your developing baby if TSH is high.
