What Causes Delay In Period?

I had unprotected sex 10/16/14 after a couple of weeks felt nauses on and off. but then my back started hurting last week of the month on off and usually when my back hurts I know my period is coming. I usually get them at the beginning of each month. it is now 11/13/14 and I don t know if im late cause of pregnancy or stress

Hello,
Thanks for letting us know your health concern. If you had the unprotected intercourse around your menstrual cycle, you are safe. Ovulation occurs two weeks prior to the onset of the next cycle and this is the fertile period when conception can happen. You can wait for a week after you are due and get help later. Sudden weight changes, stress, infections, use of certain medications and cysts of the ovary are some causes for menstrual aberrations. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
