What Causes Dark Urine While On Atenolol For High BP?

Yes My name is Tim. I m a 29 year old male little bit of medical history I smoke a pack a day I have high blood presure I m currently taking 25mg Atenolol once a day. My question is I have started a new job on Tuesday this week it has been very hot I work inside a semi trailer unloading it so I have been sweating alot I have been drinking around 3-4 28oz bottles of water while im at work but i havent been peeing alot and when i do its real dark whats causeing it or should I go see my GP

Hello,

I think the dark urine you are having may be caused by dehydration. Sweating can cause you to lose fluids and water and makes urine concentrated. You may need to take more fluids and water.
