What Causes Dark Purple Fleshy Vaginal Discharge After Abortion?

2 weeks ago I had an abortion. Yesterday, I was informed I have chlamydia and was treated with 4 pills. Today I went to get a vaginal exam. I just went to pee and after i finished peeing, A fleshy chunk fell out of my vaginal that was dark purple/reddish and beige. What is it? Is it part of my uterus ridding the chlamydia?

Welcome to HCM.

Fleshy chunk getting passed through the vagina after 2 weeks of abortion raises the suspicion of incomplete abortion.

What sort of abortion was it - spontaneous abortion or Medical Termination of Pregnancy?

Did you have any bleeding after abortion?

Please report to your Gynaecologist about this and get ultrasonography done to find out whether any products of conception are still present inside the uterine cavity. If so, you might have to get them removed.

This solves your query.
