What Causes Cough And Pain In Back Of The Tongue?

for the last month I've had a cough and white foamy fluid comes out when I cough. When exhaling, I had noticed a funny gurgling from my lungs. I had believed this to me bronchitis. Last wednesday my uvula swelled up so I ate ice cream to lessen the swelling. Friday night I developed a fever during work and thit subsided saturday afternoon. I have some sinus conjestion and the gurgling is gone but my cough has intensified and the left side of my tongue close to my tonsil now hurts. Do you have any ideas of an ailment from these symptoms?
