What Causes Cough And Headaches With Nephrotic Syndrome?

Hello My daughter has Nephrotic Syndrome. She is 16 years of age. 5 and usually weights 105. She is now up to 126, she did go up to 150. She has been in and out of Hospital. She is also Steriod resistent. She seems to have a cough and gets headaches every now and then. Is that from being weened off of the steriods. To start new meds. All this has been going on since March. How long does this last. Thanks Concerned Parent.

Hello,

Headache may be related to steroids. If patient is having cough then lungs involvement must be ruled out by chest X-ray because increased chances of lung infection in nephrotic syndrome.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
