What Causes Continued Bleeding Despite Of Being Diagnosed With Endometriosis?
i have had irregular periods forever and found out a few years ago that I have endometriosis. This month has been very different. I started my period two days ago my husband and I woke up to a blood soaked bed and I was still bleeding so heavily that I left a trail into our bathroom(even with a super plus tampon being used). This has happened three days in a row and my right should would hurt for a little while and I am exhausted and cant eat. Is this all endometriosis?
The endometrium is the tissue that lines the inside of the womb (uterus). Endometriosis is a condition where endometrial tissue is found outside the uterus. It is 'trapped' in the pelvic area and lower tummy (abdomen). In endometriosis displaced endometrial tissue continues to act as it normally. It thickens, breaks down and bleeds with each menstrual cycle. Because this displaced tissue has no way to exit your body, it becomes trapped. In general, the bigger the patches of endometriosis, the worse the symptoms Symptoms are- Irregular bleeding Painful periods Painful sex bleeding in between periods etc I will advice you to go to your consulting doctor he/she will do pelvic exam, ultrasound and laparoscopy to identify underlying condition and treatment will be started accodingly Hope i have given satisfactory answer to your question Regards
