What Causes Constipation, Stomach Ache And Tar Like Stool With Molding Smell?

so i have recently had stomach pains and three weeks ago i went to urgent care for sharp pains in my stomach so they checked for pol lops and hemorrhoids and found none so he diagnosed me like this... "well must be IBS " about two weeks later i tried anal sex for the first time "embarassing" and disgusting, anyways two days later i came up with what i thought to be my first yeast infection and a pretty bad one at that, meanwhile the stomach pains getting more sever. i treated myself with monistat3 in that three days i notices bright red blood in my stool thoiught maybe i had a simple tear. the monistat did help but didnt cure the yeast infection and now i am noticing my stool to be dark like tar and have a almost molding smell to it. i have constant constipation issues as it is, always have so i thought maybe these cramps were due to that but i have been taking colace and still am having the blood problem. i dont have insurance yet and am not trying to go back to urgent care so they can stick anything up there again but just wanted a proffessionals input on this embarassing and scary situation thx

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Tar like stool usually indicates bleeding from upper GI tract including peptic ulcer, stomach cancer or small intestine malformation. Also iron intake can cause black stool. However if you do not take any, bleeding is the most possible reason.
If your pain is in the upper middle abdomen, nausea appears, peptic ulcer seems most probable.
Constipation can be caused by bad diet (low fiber intake), hypothyroidism, medicines (ca-blockers, antidepressants), bacterial infection or even bowels obstruction due to a cancer or inflammatory bowels disease.
Both cancer and inflammatory bowels disease can also be a source of blood in the stool.

I suggest you to do not ignore your symptoms. Please visit your doctor and have blood work (low hemoglobin will indicate bleeding), abdominal X-ray (will rule out obstruction) and abdominal ultrasound. In case of bleeding, gastrosopy should be done.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
