What Causes Constipation, Soft Stools And Stomach Ache Immediately After Eating Anything?
my friend usually has bout of constipation and was told to take miralax , keep stools soft by a colon rectal spec. has been doing fine moving stools daily. last 2 weeks she has had stomach ache almost always after eating anything. last 2 days no regular stools. just expel gas, upset stomach and mucous type stool kind of whitish light yellow in color. she has never had this before. please advise. Thanks
Based on the history you have shared, she should stop the laxative and stool softeners and should shift to motility agents like domperidone or itapride.
Also, mebeveramine can be used if the sensation persists. If this same stool persists beyond one week, stools analysis to rule out amoebic infection should be done.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
