What Causes Constipation After Douching Air Inside Anus?

I started anal douching even other day and to conclude the douching, I would douche air inside myself , ever since the last I douche the right side of my lower back have been hurting me and have not passed bowels in days by myself. And now I took a laxative tea so that tomorrow I can expell something out. Am I in any dangers?

Hello,

I understand your concern. First of all, I would like to stress the fact that, while anal douching has some benefits, the dangers of this procedure outweigh the benefits.
Douching removes the anal mucus that protects the skin from the bacteria and also makes defecation easier. The removal of this mucus barrier leads to constipation, increased risk of infections and irritation of the anus.
Taking a laxative now would be the sensible thing to do, but in order to prevent constipation in the future I recommend refraining from anal douching.
All the best.
