Hello,
Ovulation usually causes clear white discharge to occur and so is the phase of the menstrual cycle just before the onset of a period. If you have other symptoms like burning sensation, itching, swelling of the labia, inguinal lymph nodes and urinary symptoms, you should suspect infection. Then, you should see an expert for a proper evaluation, a vaginal and cervical swab for culture, pap smear, urinalysis and blood tests to help plan further management. Your partner also needs to be treated. Hope this helps.
