What Causes Chronic Pain On The Left Side Below The Hip?

I have chronic pain on my left side just below the hip. I cannot lay on that side nor even if I shift to the right side the pain is there. I have been x-rayed and it seems to be normal. Motion (200mg) helped for awhile but no longer. Need to get some sleep

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
Here if your x ray is clear then it can be just a bursitis or soft tissue inflammation. I suggest to do MRI for further evaluation. And as per report consult orthopedic as well physiotherapist.
Here orthopedic will guide for conservative and medical management for minor issues. And physiotherapy treatment will help you with soft tissue healing and reducing inflammation. With this the pain should come down.
You can also use hot and cold pack to have some more relief. If there is no major relief, after following physio and doing all conservative treatment also it is not reducing then orthopedic can also help by giving intra articular injection of steroid for pain relief. And later the conservative steps has to be followed as it is.
I am sure you will get result if you follow all above steps. Take care.
