What Causes Chronic Fatigue Post Meth Withdrawal?

It s been 7 days since quitting pot, I was a heavy user for many, many years. Chronic fatigue is one of the main symptoms I m experiencing along with vivid dreams that I now remember the next day. Any suggestions on the chronic fatigue part? Thanks.

Hello,

Chronic fatigue post meth withdrawal is a common symptom. People experience fatigue in the first week that commonly peaks in the fifth or sixth day. You need not worry, as the body adjusts, these symptoms will go away on their own.

Chronic fatigue is caused because most addicts do not eat nutritious food & whatever they eat is not well absorbed in the blood. There is lack of vitamin & minerals which should be supplemented once a person has quit meth intake.

In the second or third week people have cravings for sugary food & carbohydrates. You can take it but limit the amount. Eat more of heathy food rich in protein like beans & meat.

Take omega 3 fatty acids, fishes, broccoli, milk, whole cereals, dry fruits, fruits & veggies & plenty of water. Take adequate sleep & do regular exercises. Stay away from anxiety & stress (physical & emotional).

Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
