What Causes Chronic Cough And Severe Fatigue?

my husband last evening started to cough immediately after coughing his pupils were diolated and he was extremely tired, he leaned back in chair and his eyes rolled in his head. he layed down and it took us 2 mins of yelling and smacking his leg for him to wake up.
